Lucy is a titled Australian Physiotherapy Association Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and a member of the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists Australia (MPA). This is a specialised area within physiotherapy that focuses on accurate assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal (muscle and joint) injuries. Members of the MPA are world-leaders in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of muscle and joint problems, especially spinal conditions that commonly cause lower back pain and neck pain.
Lucy is an University of Melbourne alumni and has worked extensively in private practices in the eastern suburbs since graduating in 2010. Lucy holds a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Postgraduate qualifications in Continence and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy. This puts her in a unique position to be able to treat all aspects of pelvic floor concerns, pregnancy related pain, abdominal separation and mastitis.
Lucy takes a special interest in lower back injuries, shoulder injuries, headaches and pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain. As a strong advocate of proper education and self management strategies, Lucy believes that all patients should be empowered to take charge of their own body.
Lucy practices what she preaches and in her spare time you’ll find her exercising in her Pilates studio, at the local gym, running or cycling with Luna (her German Shepherd) or just enjoying the Melbourne coffee scene.
